2025 Midlands Arbiters, Organisers & Trainers Workshop

The 2025 Midlands Arbiters, Organisers & Trainers Workshop was a regional chess development initiative hosted by the Zimbabwe Chess Federation. Held at Errymaple Group of Schools in Zvishavane, the workshop provided three specialized tracks—Arbiters, Organisers, and Trainers—each designed to equip participants with practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Attendees included educators, sports directors, uniformed forces, and community leaders. The program covered FIDE rules, tournament management, club development, and chess as a tool for education and social transformation. Participants who passed the final assessment earned certification at national, provincial, or district levels, contributing to the professionalization of chess leadership in the Midlands Province.
