Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

The Zimbabwe Chess Federation (ZCF) recognizes that the advancement of chess as a sport and educational tool depends on strategic collaboration with key partners and stakeholders. To this end, ZCF actively engages with government institutions, private sector organizations, educational bodies, and international federations to build a strong and sustainable chess ecosystem.

Working closely with the Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, and the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC), the Federation ensures that chess development aligns with national sports and education policies.

These partnerships enable the integration of chess into schools, the improvement of training infrastructure, and the expansion of access to competitive opportunities across all provinces.

ZCF also seeks to foster collaborative relationships with corporate partners who share its vision of youth empowerment, education, and intellectual development. Through sponsorships, corporate leagues, and joint community programs, these alliances contribute to the growth and visibility of chess while promoting social responsibility and national unity.

At the international level, the Federation maintains strong ties with the World Chess Federation (FIDE), the African Chess Confederation (ACC), and other national federations to exchange expertise, access global development programs, and facilitate participation in international events.

Through consistent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building, the Zimbabwe Chess Federation continues to strengthen its institutional capacity, expand its reach, and promote chess as a unifying force for education, empowerment, and national pride.
